The Director of Marketing will lead end-to-end marketing for De Soi—owning brand strategy, integrated planning, and go-to-market execution across channels. This role is both strategic and hands-on, partnering closely with founders and cross-functional leaders to drive brand equity, demand, and long-term growth.

You’ll manage a lean internal team and a network of best-in-class agency partners, bringing clarity, focus, and momentum to everything from campaigns and launches to partnerships and field programs.

This is a leadership role for someone who knows how to build brands that resonate and perform.


What You’ll DO

Brand Strategy & Leadership

  • Own De Soi’s overarching brand strategy, positioning, and messaging across all touchpoints
  • Build and lead annual and quarterly marketing plans that align brand, digital, retail, and product initiatives
  • Serve as the internal brand steward—setting direction for tone of voice, visual world, storytelling, and consumer experience
  • Develop campaign platforms, creative briefs, and strategic frameworks used across teams and partners
  • Partner closely with founders and leadership on long-term brand vision and roadmap

Brand Marketing, Partnerships & Field
  • Oversee social, influencer, PR, partnerships, and field marketing to ensure cohesive storytelling and execution
  • Lead influencer strategy end-to-end, from seeding and creative concepting to paid partnerships and performance tracking
  • Drive brand partnerships and activations, including co-marketing, experiential, and retail tie-ins
  • Shape press and PR strategy, working with agency partners to refine narratives and secure meaningful coverage
  • Build integrated campaigns that connect awareness, community, trial, retail, and DTC
Product Innovation & Go-To-Market
  • Lead the marketing side of product innovation, identifying whitespace and category opportunities
  • Partner with founders, R&D, and creative teams on product positioning, naming, packaging, and brand worlds
  • Own consumer research and insights, including surveys, tastings, testing, and concept validation
  • Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market plans for launches across brand, digital, retail, PR, influencer, and field
Trade & Retail Marketing
  • Lead trade marketing initiatives in close partnership with the sales team
  • Build sales decks, pitch materials, and retail storytelling frameworks for key accounts and distributors
  • Develop in-store programs including POS, end caps, shippers, sampling and merchandising strategies
  • Partner with retail accounts on programming and execution to drive velocity and awareness
  • Support national retail pitches with brand, consumer and growth strategy
Team & Partner Leadership
  • Manage and develop a team of full-time and freelance marketers
  • Lead and coordinate agency partners across paid media, creative, PR, and Amazon
  • Bring structure, clarity, and strong prioritization to a fast-moving environment
About You

You’re a strategic, hands-on marketing leader who thrives in growing brands. You know how to set the vision, but you’re just as comfortable rolling up your sleeves to get things done. You bring clarity to ambiguity, move quickly without sacrificing quality, and enjoy building alongside founders and lean teams.

You Likely Bring: 

  • 8+ years of marketing experience, including leading teams and managing agencies/contractors
  • Strong experience in brand strategy, campaign development, and integrated marketin
  • A sharp creative point of view and the ability to brief, evaluate, and elevate creative wor
  • Experience in consumer brands—ideally in food & beverage, wellness, lifestyle, or adjacent categories
  • Comfort working across multiple channels (brand, digital, retail, partnerships), even if you haven’t owned all of them directly
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with sales, product, operations, and leadership
  • ​​​​​​​A builder mindset—you like creating systems, processes, and momentum as things scale
  • Experience in high-growth or early-stage environments
  • Direct-to-consumer or ecommerce experience (preferred)
  • Experience with omnichannel brands selling across DTC, retail, and marketplaces (preferred)
